Maiden Voyage

Welcome to our maiden voyage. We promise only not to bore you. Postings will run the gamut from Indian Charlie to the Dead Sea Scrolls; from cuneiform to the Daily Racing Form. No one will anoint themselves Pick-Six king but a healthy dose of ego is OK from time to time. Good grammar is a goal.

The main idea is making money buying and selling thoroughbreds. Musings into other subjects and shared experiences will find their way back to the core when they will. Connections will be unsought, only marvelled at.

Broodmares will be auctioned by the thousands in the fortnight to come here in Lexington, KY.

Some people may remember that I have a rare skill for buying pregnant mares at the right price. Our time and energy has tilted of late to the sell side, through Four Star Sales, but we still have time to shop and maybe come up with another Broodmare of the Year, like In Neon (dam of Sharp Cat) or one of the myriad stakes-producing mares that we bird-dogged successfully in years past.

Buckle up and get ready to enjoy the ride while we try to make Thoroughbred sport fun again. There'll be laughs and the inevitable gaffs but no stopping us now.
